Miles can sway by using either button as well to give a glimpse of something while standing at the edge of an object. Run to the very top of the stairs. Notes will ONLY be recorded while the camera is raised. Trager will immediately start to bang on the door to the side in the office area. Find the doorway near the hole in the floor then open the door on the other side. Billy will appear once again and start to chase Miles once he reaches the gap. Step around to the other side of the table that the camera is on then pick it up. A patient sits in a wheelchair at the end of the hall outside of the Recreation Room. Walk back there and try to keep an eye out for the patient that walks up and down the hallways and rooms. Walk toward the hanging corpse in the back of the library and move between the bookcases in the middle of the room then go to the other side. Grab the **"GODS AND MONSTERS" DOCUMENT** off the desk to the right. Approach the door to exit. Crawl through the air duct and fall out to the other side. Objective: Retrieve the key from the Recreation Hall. Enter Room 216 and pick up the **BATTERY** from the open desk drawer - look at it and press the action button to pick it up. Shimmy to the right while on the ledge then pull up once Miles reaches the open window. There is a door off to the right with light coming from inside the room. Run into the corridor ahead and follow it to the right then open the door. A light will shine through some debris that blocks off the end of the tunnel further ahead - this is Father Martin. It pays to check out the room for now to familiarize yourself with it, since Miles may have to run back to it in a moment. Miles has lost Chris Walker for the time being. The corridor will seal off on both ends and then eventually open up to Cell Block A on the other side. Run down the corridor to the right and open the last door to the left at the end of the hall - this room has two entrances. We just HAVE to get up there and see what it is! Miles will find the patient that hit him earlier - he is the one that is banging on the mesh door. The man in the bed will start to yell and this will get the attention of Dr. Trager. After Trager opens the door to the room that Miles was in, he will quickly start to search for Miles, so he will be walking down the corridor behind Miles very shortly. Objective: Escape the asylum. Quickly open the double doors at the end of the hall then enter the large room to the right. Miles will step into a dark cell after going so far across the ledge. This is ESPECIALLY helpful when going for the Energiser achievement on Xbox One. Also I doubt that crowd would be quite as receptive. If you have time, be sure to check near the fallen security guard body in the tunnel where Chris Walker fell from the ceiling and see if there is a **BATTERY** near the body. The fire is completely out. The right side of the corridor is a dead end, so go to the left then dash and hop across the gap in the floor. Walk by the patient in the wheelchair then hop over the bed frame in the corridor ahead. Allow him to walk toward the seats then rush toward the fallen door and move into the corridor behind it. Interact with the elevator controls to use the key and Miles will automatically take the elevator down. The door leading to the Electric Room was previously locked, but it's now wide open. Run back to the area with the metal floor and the ladder with the hole then climb down the ladder. Find the ladder near the light off to the right and climb it. Move down the stairs and open the fourth door along the left wall. If you run over to the door that he locks, Miles can hear him speaking from the other side. Get up on the next catwalk walkway and follow it around the corner to the right. Look for any type of object that is lit up to distinguish where paths are or where walls may be if needed. Be sure to look in the dark corner to the right of the laundry chute to find a patient huddled in a corner along with a **BATTERY** on the floor in front of him. Now all Miles has to do is get back to the sprinkler activation room and press the button in there to start the sprinklers. The doors will seal off and the Walrider will stop the chase. If Miles falls down to the first floor, he can use a slanted piece of wood that leads to a higher ledge to climb back up to the second floor. So close, and yet so far away. Step into the corridor behind the doorway off to the left. Turn around and watch for the vent cover on the air duct in the ceiling to drop - it's above the desk near the shelf. While walking toward the board on top of the wooden crates, press the jump button when Miles gets near it to vault over it - he can do this while running. Open the door and then the next room across from the current one. He will tell Miles where the key for the elevator door is at. Like the message on the wall says, follow the blood! Miles MUST run before jumping to make it to the other side. Walk by the window then squeeze through the shelf and boxes up ahead. They have him trapped! The door to the room that Miles was just in will shut behind Miles as he steps down the corridor. Objective: Investigate Mount Massive Asylum. The door to the other room in the corridor is locked and the remainder of the corridor on that side is boarded up. Follow the corridor to the left after stepping out of the room. Grab the **BATTERY** on the table with the camera up ahead. Be sure to wait inside the room for the brute to make his way through the doors. Miles can't get by the boards that lie in his way, so his only option is to continue through the dark corridor to the left that probably has psychos and all that other nice stuff hiding in it. So long as Miles steps out of their view, they will walk past him. The large steel doors at the end of the corridor will open once Miles steps near them. Hop over the fallen door then turn right at the end and move through the barred doorway. Press the button on the laundry chute. Well, Chris Walker is somewhere in this pool of water. Father Martin will raise his flashlight and start to speak with Miles through the window at the end of the corridor. Wait for Trager to enter and then watch as he moves toward the middle of the room. The brothers will joke sarcastically about where Miles went to. A sequence will play as Miles learns who his savior is on the next floor. He seems to run off after the first attack however. Follow the outside catwalk over to the valve handle. Move back down the stairs and step back into the downstairs lobby. Something will make sounds and a sort of haze in the lighted tunnel further ahead. The entrance to the Female Ward is up ahead, but the doors are locked. Run to the opposite side of the second floor walkway and open the door at the end then enter the next hallway. Fall down to the floor below then move back into the room below the top room that Miles was just in. Rush toward one of the lockers and interact with it to hide inside of it. Hop over the two metal beams up ahead then Miles will reach another T-intersection up ahead. Jump and grab onto the side of the ceiling and Miles will hop on top of the elevator. Listen to the old man in the wheelchair while he speaks to Miles from the closed room up ahead. The patient behind the fallen table inside will talk to Miles. A patient will step into view on the floor below and bang against the boarded up double doors - that is actually the area that Miles just came from a few minutes ago. A patient will rush out of Room 126 and enter Room 125 and slam the door and lock it behind him when Miles first steps into this corridor. They must be gone to get some clothes. Push in on the right analog to switch night vision on and off. Go through the barred doorway then enter the cell area through the open door to the left at the end of the hall. The door will slam after Miles takes the battery but he can open it right back up - nothing to fear, right? The first corridor with the door to the right is locked so enter the back corridor and step through the open doorway then hop over to the next piece of floor up ahead. Whatever you do, don't step into the corridor off to the right since it is blocked at the end and there is no other way out besides going back to the entrance end. Run back up the stairs then take the next set of stairs to the floor above. The brothers are... nowhere to be seen! If you look quickly into the dark corridor ahead, you'll notice a silhouette of a person up ahead. Jump and pull up onto either side of the railings. Try to open the door and a patient will open the door then slam it and unlock the double doors inside the room then dash outside. Walk up the two boards forming a ramp then look up and jump and then Miles will grab onto the higher ledge - press up to make Miles pull himself up. Move down the hall to the left and squeeze by the file cabinets and shelf - Miles can look both ways while moving in between objects. Chris Walker will make yet another appearance as he knocks down the door to the Security Room while searching for Miles - this is the guy that threw Miles off the second floor earlier. Open the door on the other side of the room then enter the corridor ahead. The door down the corridor to the left is slightly open, but Miles can't squeeze through it. Impulse, I guess? A body will be slumped over an overhead pipe up ahead - turn right at that time. Enter the stairway through the left door and run down the stairs - the door at the top of the stairs is locked. Wait for Chris Walker to leave the security room - he will walk down the corridor to the left - then exit the locker and walk back into the lobby. Oh, look! Exit out of the Projection Room through the doorway to the side then go back down into the theater. Move into the dark corridor to the left and step toward the door at the end of the corridor. Blake is on the fast track to the mines, where his partner Lynn is stashed away, but a swarm of locusts knock him into a new nightmarish scenario. Look through the closed vent cover off to the left along the way to see a person run into the room and then rush back out and slam the door - he locks the door, so there is no going back! Walk down the other side of the corridor and enter the Electric Room along the left side of the corridor. Miles will once again step by a patient in a bed that will yell out. Billy isn't too happy since he most likely knows what Miles is up to. Grab the **BATTERY** on the tray off to the right if there is one there and then step toward the breaker lever and pull it. Point your camera at the helicopter wreckage, then wait for the red circle to fill in. Step into the kitchen area then open the double doors on the others side of the room. Someone is having some real difficulty opening up that watermelon on the other side of that fence door to the left don't you think? Fall into the next pool of water up ahead. Climb up the ladder to escape the area and Chris Walker. Well, at least the main chaser is now gone, but now we have a new one! Miles will catch onto the small ledge along the side of the window. Try as much as you can to go back into the first room of the Laundry Room and hide in the dark section off to the left before Chris Walker busts through the door. Fall to the garbage bin when the ledge ends - it will be below Miles. The ghost (Walrider) always seems to damage Miles, but it won't do anything more. The other cell is locked and the decontamination room door in the hall ahead is locked, so run up the nearby stairs. Miles is now back in the security corridor outside the room. Move onto the metal platform on the right side of the room and squeeze through one of the narrow spaces in between the copper cylinders to the left. Go back and move up the stairs to reach the Male Ward. Follow the vent to the end then drop out. Run through the doorway at the other end and step into the outside corridor. There is a light up ahead - Miles is actually on the other side of the fence near the area where he picked up that document earlier. A patient with a candle blocks the other end of the hall ahead. The maintenance shed is on the opposite side of the courtyard from the current building, so wander over there and unlock the mesh door entrance. Once they step out of sight, go back to the open double doors then enter the room they stepped out of. Chris Walker WILL see Miles at this point. Climb back up to the locker room above. Follow the corridor to the next room off to the right - this room might have a **BATTERY** on the shelf that has human organs on it. Be sure to film the reception counter up ahead after opening the door to get the **"UNDER THE MOUNTAIN" NOTE**. Hop over the drums and tarps and dash back down the corridor. Chris Walker is still coming for you! It will start to bang on the door. Find the **"PROJECT PAPERCLIP EXCERPT" NOTE"** on the desk then grab it and leave. Quickly run to the blocked door to the side of the sitting patient and move the crate. Use the small ledge to shimmy across the side of the building. Go figure. There is a metal panel on the catwalk up ahead that Miles needs to interact with. As soon as Miles enter the tunnel with stacked crates further ahead, Chris Walker will fall into the narrow tunnel from the hole in the ceiling on the other side of the area. Find the ladder below the framework that is under the open window and walk toward it to climb the ladder - Miles will automatically grab on. Trager should be busy in one of the rooms so Miles will have plenty of time to push the crate. Find the last doorway along the left side of the tunnel and follow the path behind it. The entrance door is now open once again. If you look up, you'll see a patient sitting on the roof of the maintenance shed, but he won't bother Miles. There is nothing in the dark corridor directly ahead. Hop over the metal bars and pass by the dead body off to the left. Naturally, Miles needs to go to the left (with the slumped over dead body), so walk down that corridor then crouch and crawl through the small drainage tunnel at the end. The door to the right is locked, so crouch and move up under the table with the crates on it then open the door at the end of the corridor. If either brother grabs Miles it is an instant kill. Ignore the patient in the straightjacket that follow Miles in Cell Block D area since he won't hurt Miles. While on the ledge, look to the left then hop to the next rooftop. The stairs to the Male Ward are off to the right, but run to the back of the dark tunnel ahead and film the bodies through the window of the door off to the left to get the **"A FEAST FOR THE FLIES" NOTE**. Film the patient as Dr. Trager works his magic on him to get the **"DR. RICK TRAGER" NOTE**. Hop over the counter off to the right in the corridor ahead. Go ahead and fall down into the water below the catwalk walkway off to the left. Miles will pass by a patient in a bed that will scream out. Step into the office room off to the right toward the end then hop over the desk and run along the left corridor then dash into the next office area. He's now in the Prison Block portion of the asylum. Walk into the middle portion of the room ahead and the boarded floor will fall out from underneath Miles. Find the table off to the left then hop on top of it and duck then enter the laundry room through the open window. Step into the room with candles and film the blood on the back wall near the laundry chute to get the **"LIES" NOTE**. Miles will automatically squeeze against the small ledge outside the window, so shimmy to the left - toward the broken window with the praying patient inside (Room 322). Turn around and open the door across from the man that just kicked the bucket. Someone will peep into the tunnel at Miles while he climbs upwards then that person will run off. ... all of your collectibles will be lost and you will have to start from scratch. Miles will constantly find new batteries during the campaign and they can be loaded by simply tapping the Y/Triangle button, but be sure to use each battery up FULLY before loading another - don't tap the button by mistake or you'll waste batteries. A nearly broken Miles will stumble quite a bit on the way through the control room and down the hall. Go ahead and step inside. Come back to the path area then move down the stairs and duck into the hole in the wall then crawl to the other side. The Security Room is locked and Miles needs a keycard to open it so reenter the lobby and step into the Computer Room to the right of the entrance doors (the Computer Room on the left side is locked). Climb to the right as far as Miles can go then pull up through the open window and back into the corridor. The elevator will take Miles down to the first floor lobby and it will stop then the elevator will descend even lower as suspenseful music kicks in. There is a room to the right and left, but just ignore them or the Walrider will kill Miles - on normal difficulty, he can kill Miles in two hits. The patients will start trying to find another way to get to Miles. Once again, the blood trail shows the way, so follow the blood trail on the ground to the lit up cell then fall through the hole in the floor. Objective: Turn off the valve for the LIFE SUPPORT FLUID RESERVOIR. Find the small ledge that stretches out beyond the railing up ahead then shimmy along it and Miles will shimmy by the mesh doorway on the floor below. It amazes me how Miles can withstand getting his fingers cut off so well and continue normally. Something will run by up ahead. Father Martin is nailed to the cross up ahead with patients praying around him. The ending cutscene will play shortly afterward. Miles is not alone anymore. Step out of the corridor with the hole then move past the opening in the fence off to the right. Just what was he doing to that body on the ground!? The breaker is past the locked door on the left side of the room, but Miles can't get to it at the moment. Outlast Walkthrough Text Only Version. Look up toward the wall across from the fountain to see an open window - that's how Miles is going to gain entry into the building. Go back to the table and get on it then hop up to the window and fall to the room on the other side. Keep that night vision on and stay to one of the extreme sides and move forward then watch for any type of light up ahead - there should be some coming from the ceiling as Miles moves further back into the flooded area.
